Application Management Services, AMS for short, is the tried-and-proven alternative to full outsourcing: licenses, infrastructure and data remain within the enterprise, while the responsibility for the successful management of software applications is handed over to the service provider. The customer thus retains control.
This means that concerns about a loss of competency and know-how on the part of the customer remain unfounded. In application management, the operating objects, software and the often highly sensitive data all remain within the enterprise. But the responsibility for smooth systems operation, and particularly for guaranteed systems availability, is shouldered by the provider.
Aside from technical know-how and a structured approach, in-depth knowledge of applications and sector-specific processes are key success factors of successful AMS. For this reason, our Applications Management focuses on CENIT’s core competencies in Product Lifecycle Management and Enterprise Information Management.
Cooperation with CENIT is based on modular service building blocks, which are selected and combined by and with each customer individually to meet his or her special requirements, and fixed in service contracts called SLAs (service level agreements). Depending on the agreement, the services extend to purely operative applications and infrastructure support, or also to strategic consulting. And they are provided at fixed terms and conditions.
